The Editorial and Creative Specialist under unit supervision prepares coordinates and creates print and online media including programs services events and/or goals and communication of that information to the student body. This position develops implements and executes marketing and communication campaigns to the student population with an emphasis on the Fort Worth campus while also serving the Stephenville campus. This is a writing and editing heavy position. A portfolio of previous work samples will be requested.
The position is oncampus located in Stephenville Texas with regular travel to Fort Worth Texas. Work hours: MonFri; 8 AM5 PM or as work requirements indicate. This position requires work beyond normal business hours weekends and holidays. Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the university in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision execute comprehensive marketing and communication plans aligned with the Division of Student Engagement and Success (SES) strategic goals.
Create content and the manage the divisions digital media presence including Fort Worth campus social media while ensuring content is consistent with the universitys brand and messaging. This includes creation review and approval of art materials copy materials and proofs of printed copies for studentfacing content for Fort Worth.
Share messaging and branding strategies that effectively communicate.
Formulates basic layout and design while ensuring conformity with Graphic Identity Standards.
Maintains Division of all SES webpages.
Maintains Graphic Identity Standards University Publications Guidelines and Social Media Guidelines.
Creates graphic design projects prints advertisements and assists with social media electronic communications for the Division of Student Engagement and Success.
Provides photography and video services for student events. Maintains media files and manages digital assets for the Division of Student Engagement and success. Oversees SES photoshoots and print sessions.
Project management for student workers and interns.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications English Journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong writing editing and organizational skills
Proven ability to generate imaginative solutions.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others while also maintaining the ability to work independently on projects; Interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of graphic design photography web design and social media.
Planning and organizational skills.
Student supervisory skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $44000 to $55550.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
