Job Description


Job Description:

The QBHP is responsible for providing trauma informed evidence based services to Ouachita Childrens Center foster care residents. The QBHP will provide clinical interventions to reinforce practice and model therapeutic techniques and treatments as directed by the Mental Health Professional (MHP).


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintains client case file documentation and records all case management activity daily
  • Serves as part of the clients treatment team
  • Provides timely documentation to support services rendered and provides written reports as required by other agencies (i.e. DCFS legal systems etc.)
  • Physically capable and willing to teach and assist youth in independent living activities
  • Physically capable of restraining youth if necessary (must be trained in handle with care and follow policy guidelines concerning seclusion/restraint)
  • Empowers client to improve day to day functionality reducing stressors and increasing ability to focus on treatment goals
  • Provide behavioral interventions and crisis stabilization
  • Monitors/reports clients behavior in all environments
  • Meets weekly billing quotas as established by the Clinical Director and submits Medicaid billing daily
  • Models and teaches accountability respect trust and appropriate behaviors relating to shelter rules and guidelines.
  • Physically capable of restraining youth if necessary (must be trained in handle with care and follow policy guidelines concerning seclusion/restraint)
  • Will observe and report on residents behavior and involvement in all OCC activities client relationships with staff and peers.
  • Will complete incident report forms as required.
  • Attends all mandatory trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:


Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in human services or another related field preferred and a demonstrated ability to work with the target population; This can be offset by work experience at discretion of OCYFS.
  • 2 years of experience working with atrisk youth or other populations with special needs preferred
  • Currently credentialed as a QBHP a plus.
  • Pass a drug screen and maintain a current TB card.
  • Must have a current Arkansas Drivers license and insurable under OCCs commercial vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must receive child maltreatment adult maltreatment FBI and Arkansas state police criminal background clearance.



Skills and Knowledge:

The QBHP works effectively with all agency staff members clients and families human services providers law enforcement juvenile court(s) and the communityatlarge to ensure positive outcomes for clients receiving services.

  • Communication skillsverbal and nonverbal communication in both telephone and facetoface contacts.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to bring about the best client outcomes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to assess client and family needs and develop case plans that mobilizes community resources and promotes best practice.
  • Ability to complete paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Follows OCC code of ethics.
  • Demonstrates cultural sensitivity to OCCs clients and families.
