Let us tell you about the role

Were creating a new team of Arrears & LitigationAssociatesto professionally and effectively collect and recover arrears and manage cases in default; managing complex cases and are mandated decision makers.

As an Arrears & Litigation Associateyou will liaise regularly with solicitors and third party administrators whilst also supporting our vulnerable customers and providing an empathetic approach to their sensitive and unique situations.

What will your day look like

  • You will navigate our customers through the mortgage litigation process
  • Providing instructions to solicitors on live litigation cases
  • You will provide guidance and oversight for the third party administrators managing our default cases
  • Submit referrals for the commencement/progression of litigation or for the appointment of LPA Receivers and management of their strategies
  • You will identify root causes and future barriers always ensuring that dialogue is in keeping with the principals of the company and treating customers fairly process

What do we expect from you

  • Proven track record in providing support to customers experiencing mortgage arrears
  • Demonstrated proficiency in undertaking complex financial support litigation and receivership activities
  • Skilled in providing bespoke support to vulnerable customers
  • Working knowledge of the mortgage litigation process in England Wales & Scotland
  • Working knowledge of the powers of and process of appointing LPA Receivers
  • Resilient adaptable and empathetic in handling complex issues.
  • Organised with a proactive approach to managing a varied caseload.
  • Previous experience of providing effective onetoone coaching to internal colleagues is highly desirable
