Mechanical Engineer NVH
The NVH Engineer is responsible for analyzing and improving noise vibration and harshness characteristics in mechanical systems across industries like offhighway and industrial equipment. This role involves using advanced NVH testing and simulation tools to identify issues recommend design changes and support product development. The engineer will collaborate with crossfunctional teams contribute to field troubleshooting and communicate technical findings to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Perform NVH analysis and testing for mechanical and structural systems in the transportation offhighway and industrial equipment sectors.
Utilize tools such as LMS Siemens Simcenter and FEbased software (e.g. NASTRAN HyperMesh ANSYS) to evaluate structural dynamics and acoustic behavior.
Interpret test and simulation data to diagnose NVH issues and recommend design modifications.
Collaborate with design and simulation engineers to integrate NVH improvements into product designs.
Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of NVHrelated field complaints and development concerns.
Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external customers.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Acoustics Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
2 years of experience in NVH engineering including test and simulation methodologies.
Familiarity with data acquisition systems accelerometers microphones and modal analysis techniques.
Proficiency with at least one NVH software package (e.g. LMS Siemens Simcenter).
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or multibody dynamics (MBD) tools.
Knowledge of signal processing techniques and scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python.
Exposure to NVH development in heavy equipment agricultural machinery or automotive systems.
Handson experience with prototype testing and development.

Pay Range: $70000$100000 Commensurate with experience
