Job Description
Coating Machine Operator
2nd Shift
$2500 Signing Bonus!*
AFC is looking for a Coater who will work alongside our team of professionals in a handson environment. As a Coater you will be responsible for coating towers setup and operation. You will be working on two of the following areas in coating: mixing PTFE coating horizontal front end horizontal back end Syteline system and the calendar.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up rolls on Coating tower (horizontal PTFE and/or calendar) and records all pertinent information on the runsheet.
- Runs the coating towers based on the predetermined processing parameters.
- Ensures quality product is being produced by making the necessary adjustments to the coating tower and checking quality throughout the process.
- Maintains the towers and the immediate area to keep the department neat and orderly including following cleaning procedures.
- Shuts down and cleans up department at the shifts end.
- Sets up the rolls on the coating towers in preparation for the next day production schedule.
- Mixes PTFE coating following procedures.
- Correctly completes all inventory transactions in the ERP system.
Pay: $18.00 per hour plus $2.50 shift differential
Schedule: Monday Friday 3:00 pm 11:30 pm

- Knowledge of all aspects pertaining to PTFE and solvent coating onto fiberglass and other substrates.
- Very basic computer skills. Ability to learn and use AFC software as it applies to the job.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds or team lift up to 100 pounds.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to obtain lift truck certification.
