Job Description:
Job Duties:The position may not involve all the specified duties nor are the listed examples exhaustive: Work collaboratively with Nebraska employers to identify out of State talent/workforce to target for attraction efforts.
Identify industries and geographic areas with a surplus of talent/workforce that have experience/qualifications aligned with Nebraskas primary workforce needs. Assist in the planning promotion and executing of Talent/Workforce attraction events. Promote Nebraska as a place to live work and play to existing and potential Nebraskans. Assist in the efforts to conceptualize and create visually compelling engaging and effective talent attraction materials tactics and campaigns to share with a diverse audience. Assist in the management of multiple programs and strategies led by the Talent Development Team including Good Life Ambassadors program; talent attraction website; Nebraska Good Life social media platforms. Program management includes design promotion facilitating partnering collaboration evaluation and reporting. Assist the Business Recruitment Team and Field Service Team as needed on attraction and retention projects that may have specific human capital needs. Maintain and update physical and digital files for use in responding to requests for information. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in any discipline related to the work assigned and two years of related experience. Experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:An advanced degree and having skill sets and experience more particularly described in the Examples of Work section and the Knowledge skills and abilities section.
Other:This position requires 10% travel with some overnights. As such the incumbent must be able to present a valid drivers license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:the principles practices and objectives of economic development event coordination and marketing project management procedures; principles and techniques of public relations and talent attraction; business research practices and techniques.
Skill in communicating effectively; influencing programs and policy development at various levels; transforming complex ideas into understandable information for communication to both individuals and groups.
Ability to implement and monitor projects and strategies; plan direct and evaluate the work of economic development service providers and specialized staff.
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations; determine effective research methods/processes and sources; analyze data and prepare reports; interact with and gain the cooperation of community leaders other employees and the public and maintain effective working relationships; relate well with a diverse number of individuals or organizations; analyze a communitys present situation and recommend programs to achieve desired results.
