Job Description

Position Summary
Counselor Core Responsibilities: o Serve as a positive role model for prospective Carolina students. o Be responsible for fostering community inclusion and belonging among program participants through interaction engagement and facilitation. o Serve as source of information regarding UNC Chapel Hill campus resources and student life. o Assist with administrative tasks as delegated by the CHEOP Assistant Director or designee. o Facilitate campus tours.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Must be available to serve as a Project Uplift Counselor for the current summer. Critical thinking and creative problem solving. Detail oriented and time management skills. Public speaking skills. Demonstrate decisionmaking skills and the ability to prioritize plan manage and coordinate activities for program participants. Ability to work with sensitive information. Ability to work independently and with a group. Have a working knowledge of university resources. Agree to abide by all university policies Familiarity with UNCs campus

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Enjoys working with high school students

Work Schedule
Saturdays (May 31 June 7 June 14); 7:30 AM 3:30PM
