Job Description

OVERVIEW:

The Enrollment Manager reports directly to the Director Enrollment and drives the recruitment & admissions processes with the goal of accurately and efficiently identifying and admitting young adults who are the best fit for Year Ups program. The Enrollment Manager will develop relationships and correspond with prospective students and steward interested applicants into our admissions process who are strongly aligned with our programmatic outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will thrive in a fastpaced dynamic organization where you can leverage your relationship building and public speaking skills to draw highly qualified prospective students to the Year Up program. The ideal candidate will be detailoriented possess superior communication skills skilled at relationship building familiar with the local community and enthusiastic about Year Ups mission.

The Enrollment Manager will also have the opportunity to interact with students as a mentor group facilitator and advocate in building a positive educational environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inquiry Response & Outreach

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students guiding them through the YU enrollment process.
  • Execute a highvolume communication strategy (via phone calls SMS and email) to convert prospective students into applicants and applicants into enrolled students.
  • Ensure a positive and consistent student experience through standardized and centralized processes including welcome calls application review interview scheduling and advising meetings
  • Manage local and national email and SMS inboxes and ensure timely communication
  • As needed host information sessions for interested candidates and present compelling information about Year Ups program offerings
  • Oversee the implementation and monitor the success of the student ambassador program
  • Other duties as assigned

Interviewing & Student Assessment

  • Lead and manage high volume of interviews ranging from 2025 weekly across multiple programs models and geographies
  • Conduct oneonone interviews and psychosocial assessments with prospective students as part of the enrollment process
  • Drive collaboration and communication across divisional teams to ensure alignment with with student acceptance and onboarding
  • Create and manage the admissions calendar and ensure the implementation of all associated steps
  • Provide excellent customer service to every prospective student via phone and inperson
  • Other duties as assigned

Student Account Management

  • Manage portfolio of accepted students from acceptance to enrollment; Responsible for onboarding of accepted students to meet enrollment targets track specialty
  • Facilitate student onboarding and enrollment including outreach and onboarding events leading up to orientation
  • Support team with onboarding event management including onboarding meetings preorientation and orientation
  • Other duties as assigned

Database & Document Management

  • Analyze and manage data to design and produce regular reports that track document and measure recruitment & admissions progress; make appropriate recommendations for future initiatives based on program needs
  • Enter data manage reports and ensure data integrity within Year Ups national database ()
  • Develop proficiency in report generation and usage to track recruitment statistics and inform improvements to the recruitment process
  • Track the weekly progress towards admissions & recruitmentrelated goals
  • Ensure proper usage of Year Up database and systems to ensure the most efficient storage of information and utilization of data

Partner Liaison (as applicable will depend on individual site)

  • Serve as a conduit between the college (enrollment and financial aid offices)/employerbased team and Year Up program staff
  • Manage daytoday relationship(s) with the employer/college partner s administration (enrollment management admissions financial aid operations human resources project lead etc.) to oversee onsite recruitment and ensure that enrollment and financial aid information is uptodate
  • Ensure that all of the employer/college partners enrollment objectives are integrated into project plans data collection and outcomes measurement

Site Team/Learning Community Member

  • Serve as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students
  • Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings

This position may require occasional attendance at weekend or evening events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 24 years of professional experience preferred preferably in recruitment admissions enrollment and/or partnership development
  • Experience creating and managing social media campaigns to drive results
  • Pipeline management experience preferred
  • Previous customer service experience (cold calling experience a plus)
  • Community outreach and public speaking experience
  • Ability to assess students socialemotional needs
  • A high level of detailorientation and an analytical focus on process
  • Effective communication skills with strong follow up
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to selfstart
  • Ability to connect quickly and authentically with people
  • Experience managing and working with external stakeholders
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude with a willingness to be flexible
  • Professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with young ethnically diverse populations
  • Evidence of cultural sensitivity in past employment and life experiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
  • Knowledge of preferred

Salary Range $55000 $65000

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Year Up United has established salary ranges for each of our sites which allows us to pay employees competitively equitably and consistently in different geographic markets. For roles in which the location is listed as flexible the range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Salary offers take into account a candidates skills experience and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
