Senior Speech and Language Therapist (Neurorehabilitation)

Our client a wellrespected and personcentred neurorehabilitation service is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join their dedicated multidisciplinary team supporting individuals living with acquired brain injuries.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced SLT who thrives on autonomy values collaborative working and is passionate about empowering people to reclaim their communication and swallowing abilities in a nurturing and specialist environment.

As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist you will play a pivotal role in delivering lifechanging therapy to residents facing complex communication and swallowing challenges following brain injury. Youll work independently to assess plan and deliver tailored interventions problemsolve collaboratively with residents and their support networks and offer expert training to care teams.

What Were Looking For

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Dysphagia competencies (assessment and management)
  • Minimum 4 years postqualification experience
  • Experience in managing complex clinical cases ideally in neurorehabilitation or a similar setting
  • Excellent communication problemsolving and teamworking skills
  • A compassionate and resilient approach to supporting individuals with brain injuries

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed assessments and deliver personcentred interventions
  • Manage a caseload of residents with a wide range of speech language and swallowing needs
  • Work closely with families carers and staff to support holistic recovery and communication goals
  • Provide training and guidance to care teams to support consistent approaches
  • Contribute to MDT meetings and service development initiatives
  • Promote best practices in communication and dysphagia management
