Job Description
Payments Services manages payments for all Amazon customers worldwide and the incredible pace of innovation and customer impact never slows down. As we store multibillion payment instruments on behalf of our customers and manage multibillion dollar transaction volumes we do so with industryleading security practices.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. TPM in this role you will collaborate closely with a team of software development managers product managers and engineers to deliver new solutions into production. You will be responsible for creating the roadmap and project plan creating metrics to measure velocity and progress reporting to leadership and coordinating and aligning stakeholders to a single vision. You will help make important important tradeoff decisions with product science and engineering. You will help us move quickly look for simplifications and identify blockers early. Youll own and improve the mechanisms we use to track goals status and business metrics across teams.
The ideal candidate can help bring clarity to ambiguous problems and enjoys transparency. We are a team that believes in sharing (and caring) and we believe we can accomplish so much more when we work together. You should have experience working on AI based tools and basic AI/ML knowledge. You should be comfortable communicating with leaders at the Director and VP level on a regular basis.
From a business and technical perspective these are the expectations
Have a strong track record of shaping business strategy for technical products or services
Understand how to design scalable software
Be conversant with internet technologies
Communicate effectively with both business and technical partners
Have an entrepreneurial spirit
Exhibits excellent judgment
Has relentlessly high standards is never satisfied with the status quo
Is able to dive deep and is never out of touch with the details of the business
Has passion and convictions and the innate ability to earn trust of others
Results orientation
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
