The Opportunity

Monash Residential Services (MRS) has the opportunity to support 2 recent Monash graduates to gain exposure to a range of business departments and develop their skills and capabilities as the Graduate Business Services Officers.

The Graduate Business Services Program is conducted over an 18month period with graduates gaining experience through three key areas within Monash Residential Services Front Office Admissions and Operations. The Program ensures that the graduates will gain experience through onthejob learning and develop the ability to provide a range of professional complex and highquality administrative services to support the effective operation of a large and multifaceted organisational unit.

The experience includes implementing and undertaking auditing bookings management facilities management asset management customer service admissions processing project coordination and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Graduate Business Services Officer will also be trained to provide complex administrative support for projects and programs with a focus on excellence in process and judgement and provision of sound and timely advice and support to students staff and other stakeholders.

To be considered for this role you will be a recent Monash graduate with a relevant degree along with:

  • A willingness to undertake continuous learning and professional development with the aim to deliver effective operational processes and systems
  • Organisational skills including the ability to set priorities manage time and plan work to meet deadlines as well as analytical and problemsolving skills
  • A strong commitment to excellence in customer service and a handson approach to service provision
  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact with a diverse range of clients and respond positively when resolving issues
  • Highly developed computer literacy including experience using business software such as Microsoft Office
