SSWG operates two businesses within the water infrastructure space. The Office Assistant is an integral part of the AUC team. They are the first point of contact for visitors vendors and customers. The ideal candidate will be friendly hardworking and organized. They must be able to juggle a variety of tasks working with all internal departments as needed. Individual must be comfortable working both individually and as part of team. The ability to multitask manage complex schedules and meet changing deadlines is essential to the position. This is a fulltime onsite position working MondayFriday from 84:30pm in our Houston office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Reporting to management and performing a variety of administrative duties.
Answering incoming calls as well as screening and forwarding calls.
Assist with coordinating scheduling and confirmed events meeting managing catering and lunches for the office and other department managers within the AUC office etc.
Welcoming and assisting visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Receiving deliveries and sorting mail and packages.
Copying scanning and filing documents.
Monitoring office supplies and ordering replacements as needed.
Picking up print jobs from local shop.
Monitoring company inboxes for proper distribution.
Create reports for data tracking as needed.
Assembly of O&M document packages at the end of each bid process
Helping support receiving processes for the warehouse and the field.
Will put together weekly progress reports of field projects and send to clients
May help sort review and document bills to help support the A/P function for the accounting team.
Will help maintain a customer contact list for events and eblasts to support Marketing.
Providing adhoc support to other departments such as Project Management Finance Marketing and Engineering teams as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Exceptional ability to create a welcoming environment.
Excellent internal & external communication skills both written and verbal.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Working knowledge of printers copiers scanners and fax machines.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Required.
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.

Communicate Effectively: Speak listen and write in a clear thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
Ability to work fulltime in the office required.
Education/Experience:
Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
This position is onsite Monday Friday from 8am 4:30pm.
