Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Designer to join our Workplace Practice Group in Houston. The successful candidate will be a client leader with guiding industry knowledge recognized specialization in workplace projects and recognized ability to impact revenue and growth. We are looking for a creative organized and selfmotivated individual who can fully interpret coordinate and execute projects and processes of any scale. The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation and documentation abilities. This role will support oil and gas workplace projects in Houston.
The ideal candidate will be a team leader and mentor at all levels who effectively embodies and expresses Arcadiss values and mission takes a lead role in business development and identifies and cultivates new relationships. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and an excellent team player with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.
The ability to multitask follow through on assignments and meet deadlines is crucial. Additionally strong time management analytical and problemsolving skills are required.
Role accountabilities:
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while leading a team to complete each task collaborating with other professionals to ensure design and documentation is in conformance with clients expectations
- Proactive decisionmaking in selecting appropriate methods and standards for executing the work from the proposal stage through all project phases
- Responsible for quality control that meet or exceed the firms quality standards regarding design intent technical delivery performancedriven design and project management
- Coordinating project design construction and management with both internal and external stakeholders while ensuring quality control and project execution
- Resolving design and technical issues within the project scope and escalate as needed to ensure project objectives are met
- Reviewing and processing submittals shop drawings substitution requests and address RFIs
- Writing documents of change and reviewing contractor pricing
- Preparing owner and consultant contracts with the assistance of the leadership team
- Preparing and presenting to clients and stakeholders
- Managing and mentoring junior staff
- Assist in preparation of proposals
- Business development to help support growth of the Houston workplace team
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional Degree in Interior Design or a related field
- 810 years of experience with a strong background in workplace design
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word Excel and PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in REVIT is required
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fastpaced environment
- Strong leadership organizational written/verbal communication and relationshipmanagement skills
- NCIDQ certification required
- LEED and/or WELL accreditation required
- Must be geographically located in the Houston area for travel to active project sites

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
