This is a full time position following the school district calendar that pays $50.00/Hour and includes benefits!Apply now to learn more!The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations developing and providing therapy services and documenting services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each student. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician ordersRegularly reevaluates student for rehabilitation needs and works in collaboration with the physician and other members of the healthcare team to modify the plan of care as appropriateCollaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each studentAssesses students needs plans for evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of Occupational Therapy InterventionsInstructs student/family/caregivers on the students total occupational therapy programAdvises consults and instructs members of the multidisciplinary team in specific occupational therapy modalitiesObserves and reports student progress and/or changes in student status to the physician and appropriate multidisciplinary team membersDirects OT treatment and develops occupational therapy plan of careRefers individuals to other disciplines as deemed appropriate and as approved by the physicianReports reaction to treatment and adverse signs and symptoms to the physician building/district nurse and the parents/caregiversTeaches new skills or retrains students in oncefamiliar daily activities that have become difficult or unfamiliar due to illness or injuryEstablishes equipment needs to facilitate independent functioningInstructs student and family/caregiver in the use of various types of adaptive equipment to improve function; ensures equipment is in good working orderTrains student and family/caregiver in use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devicesProvides accurate and timely documentation according to the plan of careParticipates in IEP conferences or other meetings as required to ensure coordination of health services (if applicable)Prepares and submits clinical progresssummary based on the progress of goalsSupervises Occupational Therapy Assistants according to company policies/procedures and State regulationsComplies with applicable local state and federal laws and regulations regarding professional standards and practice standardsMay fabricate splints and instruct individual and/or family/caregiver in the use application and benefitsPerforms other duties as assigned/necessary
