As a Bakery Team Member you will be responsible for assisting with the production of highquality baked goods and the production of highquality baked goods in a largescale bakery and production facility. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and production of baked goods in accordance with established recipes and procedures.
- Shaping dough such as breads pies pastries cakes etc.
- Decorating baked goods with frosting icing and other toppings as needed.
- Operating bakery equipment such as mixers ovens and proofers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment including equipment utensils and workspaces.
- Ensuring that all baked goods are baked to the appropriate temperature and consistency and are visually appealing.
- Assisting with inventory management including monitoring stock levels and notifying the bakery team leader when supplies need to be reordered.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations including proper storage handling and labelling of food products.
- Assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of bakery equipment as needed.
- Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Previous experience working in a bakery or food service environment with a basic understanding of baking techniques and ingredients.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and other team members.
- A commitment to cleanliness and food safety with a deep understanding of regulations and best practices.
- The ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time and to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- A positive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
- The ability to work flexible hours including early mornings evenings weekends and holidays.
