Salary: 25500

Location: Horley Must be a driver due to rural location

Hours: Monday Friday 8am 4.30pm

The Role

As the Warehouse Operative you will assist the Despatch Operative with international freight packing stock management and general warehouse duties. Your responsibilities will include handling goods maintaining inventory records ensuring a smooth dispatch process and supporting overall warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the packing of goods for national and international freight shipments.
  • Assist with the collection and delivery of goods offsite as required.
  • Provide support across all areas of the Stores Department including:
  • Processing stock shortage tickets.
  • Assisting with goods inwards booking in and warehousing tasks.
  • Coordinate with thirdparty contractors as needed.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of a workshop environment and its operations.
  • Ensure the work area remains clean organised and safe.
  • Utilise the computerised Stock Management System efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Follow company systems and processes to maintain compliance and efficiency.

About you:

  • Must have a full driving license.
  • Experience operating a Forklift Truck.
  • Previous experience working in a shop floor or warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication and numerical skills.
  • Reliable organised and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach.
