Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring a Pharmacy Technician(Maternity Cover) into a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Fulltime
Key Responsibilities
- Tracking drug expiration dates
- Buying prescription drugs from reliable vendors on time
- Handling drug shortages and finding substitutes
- keeping an eye on the HPRA website for notifications recalls and shortages of medications
- Orders are checked in and stored and any errors are returned to suppliers (including scanning in accordance with the Falsified Medicines Directive).
- Invoice processing and verification in accordance with pharmaceutical protocol
- Prescription medication dispensing for staff inpatients and outpatients
- Taking phone calls and assisting customers who contact the pharmacy
- Processing drugs that wards return to the pharmacy
- Verifying pharmacists prescriptions as needed
- Handling pharmaceutical waste disposal in accordance with hospital regulations
- Ensuring proper medication storage condition monitoring
- Supporting the creation upkeep and compliance with suitable pharmaceutical standard operating procedures
- Taking part in audits when necessary
Requirements
- A pharmacy technician degree from an authorized school
- Knowledge of pharmacy technician work
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred but not necessary.
