Job Summary/Description:

KMVT has an opening for a multimedia journalist/sports reporter. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get a start in TV journalism and who has a passion for local sports coverage.

This person will research write edit and present news stories on the air typically three days a week. The other two days will focus on sports reporting & anchoring. They will also post news & sports content on our website and be actively involved with social media.

*** Please note the primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the information listed above ***

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience in collegelevel broadcast journalism training. (Sports experience is a plus.
A college degree in broadcast journalism or equivalent experience.
Video examples of onair work.
Ability to lift and carry equipment including tripod camera and lights.
Ability to work independently.
Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
Be willing to work weekends nights or any given shift.
Must be able to find enterprise news & sports stories.
Must be able to work under deadlines.
Candidates should also exhibit a good work ethic strong people skills and the ability to be a team player and must maintain a professional attitude at all times.
