OVERVIEW
The Product Owner plays a critical role in driving execution and delivery for product teams. They work to refine product priorities into detailed user stories maintain the product backlog and facilitate Agile ceremonies. They serve as the product teams primary contact perform user acceptance testing (UAT) coordinate crossteam dependencies collect user feedback and track team performance metrics. The Product Owner serves as the crucial bridge between strategic product vision and tactical implementation.
REPORTS TO
The Product Owner reports to the Manager Product Owners in the Product Delivery department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The essential duties for this role include but are not limited to:
Partners with the product team to understand product priorities and refine them into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
Maintains and refines the team backlog to ensure product teams always have clear ready items to work on
Facilitates the Agile process and ceremonies (standup refinement backlog grooming sprint planning retrospectives) for one or more product teams
Serves as the primary daytoday contact for the product team to answer questions and remove blockers
Performs UAT on completed work to ensure it meets defined acceptance criteria before release
Coordinates across product teams to manage risks and dependencies on priorities that span multiple teams
Coordinates with stakeholders on releases including preparing documentation schedules and beta/early adopter previews
Triages incoming issues and requests from users/stakeholders and collects ongoing product feedback
Tracks and analyzes sprint performance metrics to identify process improvements and team velocity trends
Creates monthly reporting outlining product team metrics and outcomes

Qualifications :
Intermediate understanding of a variety of agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum Kanban and Scrumban).
Intermediate knowledge of SDLC
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong collaboration skills
Proficient in Jira or other software tools.
Proficient in writing user stories with acceptance criteria test cases requirements and other artifacts
Intermediate experience with database queries or willingness and ability to learn
