Reporting to the National Development Manager the purpose of this role is to provide handson support to Store Development Visual Merchandise/Category Planning and Operations teams with the delivery of store projects and development initiatives focusing on minimising disruption to the business cost control and OH&S compliance.
Project and Trade Coordination
- Project manage in consultation with the relevant National Development Manager allocated store fit out (store relays large & small new stores and/or store relocations) from a hands on point of view from conception through to completion.
- Develop manage and implement project schedules planners and budgets ensuring design and construction phases are in line with agreed schedules.
- Communicate and coordinate revisions and changes to projects with all stakeholders both internal and external including suppliers services trades regarding the installation of equipment and fixturing.
Capex Asset Control and Invoice Management
- Propose cost and evaluate construction options with a costeffectiveness intent for all fitouts relays and roll out projects.
- Generate purchase orders for all project elements and confirmation of deliveries manage supplier invoicing and variations.
- Manage project budget in alignment with agreed capex forecasts.
- Provide feedback per project on asset register changes for applicable fixtures and fittings.
Internal and External Communication
- Maintain communication to relevant internal and external teams on project status (eg briefing sessions with Area Managers/Territory Managers Store Managers buyers and other stakeholders as applicable)
- Prepare and report running costs against budget and forecast per project to relevant National Development Managers
Merchandise Compliance
- Ensure appropriate compliance and communication with merchandise services/category planning (VM) and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with Merchandise initiatives and rollouts as required.
- Liaise with and support brands with the installation relocation or removal of supplier branded fixtures and fittings.
Project Documentation
- Develop appropriate project documentation such as schedules staging plans Capex spreadsheets scope documentation OH/S reports Evac Plans and Job status reports.
- Provide appropriate pre and post project as built documentation on fitouts to ensure plans are kept up to date.
OH&S Focus
- Ensure all projects and trades Store staff and suppliers comply with the relevant OH&S standards to ensure safe work accreditations are in place and safety management systems on site are updated.
Loss Prevention Consideration
- Liaise with Loss Prevention to understand security plans and equipment requirements
Assets Maintenance
- Assist with maintenance works at stores and JB/TGG assets. (as required).
- Assist and coordinate in a timely fashion with ESM and Compliance works as required
Qualifications :
- Project management experience in a shopfitting or refurbishment discipline
- Proven experience in store relays retail retail management organisational and analytical disciplines
- Proficient experience across Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project
- Budgeting knowledge
- Demonstrated organisational skills
- White card certification
- Proven knowledge of building regulations and compliance
