Job Description
Nature of the main tasks
- Development and maintenance on Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW)
- Gathering business requirements
- Designing ETL processes
- Data modelling
- Design and development of reporting applications
- Physical DB design
- DB performance analysis
- Design of Data Quality and Health Monitoring
- Elaboration of test programs
- Writing of technical documentation
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
- Participation in meetings with other project teams
Knowledge and competences
- Minimum 11 years of experience aside from university studies.
- Excellent knowledge of data warehouse design and architecture
- Excellent knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse
- Excellent knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools (Qlik Sense)
- Excellent knowledge of ETL tools
- Good knowledge of modelling tools
- Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools
- Ability to work in multicultural environment on a large project
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
- Ability to understand speak and write English
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work with a high degree of rigour and method and more specifically to follow naming conventions and coding standards
- Ability to work in multicultural environment on a large project
Tools and Methodologies
- Business objects
- Qlik Sense (mandatory)
Software development Lifecycle (at least one of)
- Atlassian tools
- GitHub
- ServiceNow
Methodology (at least one of)
- Project Management: PM and PM Agile
- Agile Software development: Kanban & Scrum
Important notes:
- All consultants will need to have a base with DevSecOps and CI/CD Please mention it explicitly on the CVs (mandatory).
- CVs must be presented in Europass format and in English.
- The CVs should clearly highlight the candidates experience and the technologies used.
- The interviews are face to face in Brussels in the clients offices.
- The client requires the consultants to go onsite 3 days a week (Mondays and Thursdays are mandatory in the office).
- Please note that remote work from abroad is not permitted. All consultants need to live/relocate to Belgium.
- Please note that all consultants are required to obtain a Personal Security Clearance (EU). Before starting the assignment they will need to prove the initiation of the procedure.
