Job Description
- Design and manage DB2 LUW servers
- Build and operate a highavailability DB2 LUW environment including pureScale
- Use and manage standard DB2 Data Movement Utilities
- Create and maintain DB2 database objects
- Monitor and optimize SQL performance especially for Java JDBC applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and performance issues
- Implement and manage DB2 security features to protect sensitive data
- Support backup and recovery operations and strategies
- Collaborate with other teams to support the database lifecycle in development test and production environments
Qualifications :
- Solid basic Unix/Linux knowledge especially RHEL Enterprise Linux
- Skilled in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Proficiency in backup and restore methodologies
- Willingness to participate in oncall duties after onboarding
- An UpperIntermediate level of English
- German at native level
WILL BE A PLUS:
- Experience with DB2 LUW versions 10.1 10.5 and 11.5
- Familiarity with DB2 utilities for maintenance and administration
- Handson experience with DB2 in highavailability environments (e.g. pureScale)
- Experience with tools typically found in DB2 environments
- Understanding of DB2 security mechanisms
Additional Information :
- Strong communication skills teamoriented approach and a proactive mindset
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business trips to clients in Austria and Germany
- Readiness to participate in oncall rotations after completing training
