Job Description
- Conduct laboratoryscale cell culture studies (shake flask through fedbatch bioreactor and harvest) to support characterization of cell banks and/or manufacturing bioprocesses
- Perform affinity chromatography and viral inactivation in support of labscale cell culture activities
- Perform cGLP cell banking activities for research use
- Coordinate with a broader scientific team to align on scheduling of lab activities
- Statistically analyze large data sets and draft technical reports to support commercial filings
- Present on technical topics during cross functional meetings.
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing during troubleshooting and continuous improvement opportunities
- Enjoy working in a fastpaced environment and you have the innate ability to balance multiple projects prioritize them and execute them independently while excelling at keeping all impacted parties well advised
- Can take on new and sometimes ambiguous challenges learning quickly
- Have the ability to work in a team environment but can also take ownership of large technical reports and projects
- Can develop and drive scientific and/or businessrelated improvement ideas
- Understand antibody manufacturing processes
- Have a solid understanding of Microsoft Suite (Word Excel Powerpoint)
Leadership Responsibilities
- Supports and monitors team of analysts
- May participate in new hire interviews
- Supports the onboarding process of new employees
- Participates in training of other employees.
- Performs peer review of data.
- Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required
Qualifications :
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional leadership experience
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Have a solid understanding of Microsoft Suite (Word Excel Powerpoint)
- Understand antibody manufacturing processes
- Can develop and drive scientific and/or businessrelated improvement ideas
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA in life sciences/engineering or related field; Chemical Engineering or Biochemistry preferred
- Cell culture and/or affinity chromatography experience
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment balancing multiple projects prioritizing them and executing them independently while excelling at keeping all impacted parties well advised
- 1 years of experience working in an industry laboratory setting
- 1 years of experience in leading a team in an industry laboratory setting
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required
Additional Information :
- This position is fulltime. MonFri 8AM430PM.
- Compensation is between $26$32 per hour based on experience.
