Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of the inmate drug testing Sergeant incumbent will conduct random and target drug testing for the South Carolina Department of Corrections in accordance with the agencys drug testing policy.
Update drug test results into the SCDC Mainframe system through CRT entry.
Maintain drug testing supply inventory and distribute supply orders as directed.
Train and certify Institutional drug testing officers.
Performs other security related duties as required.
Will travel daily to institutions and other assigned sites throughout the state.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen.
- 18 and over.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid drivers license.
- Tattoos: Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a casebycase basis.
- Cannot have been convicted of a crime with a maximum allowable sentence of one year or more or a fine of $1000.
- Must pass a physical exam administered by SCDC.
- Must successfully complete the Correctional Officer Basic Certification Course within the first 6 months of placement into the position.
