Job Summary

The Administrator (CCL) has 24hour responsibility for the health safety programs and services to residents residing in assigned house(s).

Tasks Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates resident services including resident schedules preadmission interviews assessments staffing and individual service plans.
  • Designs implements and monitors delivery of programs. Evaluates progress on programs and revises as necessary.
  • Coordinates consistent services with work school day programs and families.
  • Provides direct supervision and initial and ongoing training of direct contact staff.
  • Ensures compliance with agencys policies and procedures as related to duties.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and participates as a team member during licensing surveys.
  • Ensures resident rights and advocates accordingly.
  • Manages department budget and explains variances if necessary.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner in all forms of communication with consumers staff family and outside agency contacts.
  • Completes all paperwork (i.e. medication reorders weekly staffing requests transportation and phone logs) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains a flexible work schedule and utilizes cell phone.
  • Ensures adequate scheduling and staffing needs are met in accordance with the master schedule.
  • Monitors and completes department time sheets.
  • Evaluates staff performance.
  • Attends and participates in Agency meetings as required.
  • Implements Agency policies and procedures as related to assigned duties.
  • Coordinates resident physicians appointments.
  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and supplies for the house vehicle.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Knowledge Skills and Education

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Group Home Administrator Certificate required.
  • Minimum two years experience providing services to children adolescents and/or adults with developmental disabilities. Oneyear supervisory experience.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers required.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by clients including ability to communicate with such clients.
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable law and regulation.
  • Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records.
  • Ability to direct the work of others when applicable.
  • Ability to establish the facilitys policy program and budget.
  • Ability to recruit employ train and evaluate qualified staff and to terminate employment of staff if applicable to the facility.
  • Read write and understand the English language.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with consumers coworkers neighbors volunteers vendors and the public.
  • Possess a high degree of patience and the ability to tolerate frustrating situations.
  • Knowledge of HIPPA Guidelines and Patient Privacy required.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory.
  • Able to multitask and manage work time efficiently.
  • Able to see talk hear walk bend stoop sit stand reach and lift items weighing 30 pounds or less repeatedly during a shift.
  • Able to drive an agency vehicle lawfully and safely in all traffic situations and weather conditions.
  • PRO Act certification required.
  • Must provide proof of and maintain proper automobile insurance coverage as required by state law and be an approved driver with HGH insurance company to be eligible for mileage reimbursement.
  • May have work schedule changed based on operational needs with appropriate notice.
  • Must be available and willing to work such overtime weekend and holiday hours as the Agency determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business and resident needs.
  • Due to the nature of the job requirements Residential Supervisors have a Working Lunch and the hours of work are inclusive of the mealtime.
  • Must be available to cover open shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to assist with lifting moving and transferring adult residents from wheelchairs shower chairs toilets beds chairs etc. to a variety of locations within the home and community. The employee is frequently required to stand walk and sit. The employee may frequently move to interact with fellow employees and/or clients and may be exposed to virus and/or infection. Additionally the individual may be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities required by this job include a significant amount of work involving locomotion including the operation of an agency vehicle (in town & freeway driving) and movement of residents to and from the vehicle to the office clinics community agencies schools and day programs.
