Description

Job Summary
Responsible for managing a multiple number of Health and Safety professionals/paraprofessionals who
conduct the daytoday safety and industrial hygiene programs at assigned location(s) and offices
including serving as senior mentors and technical experts to staff working closely with senior
management to evaluate health and safety risks and developing safety and health programs to
continuously improve safety performance.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Direct and distribute H&S resources to best support the needs of the operating units
Mentor and counsel subordinates in carrying out their daily duties
Serve as technical resource especially on particularly complicated or hazardous projects.
Establish new and reengineer existing programs and policies to continuously improve safety
Manage incident reporting and followup programs including the analysis of trends
Design and periodically conduct site health and safety audits and inspections
Interact with regulatory officials on a regular basis
Represent the corporation in safety related meetings with customers
Daily interaction with Senior Managers to ensure H&S issues are incorporated into planning
Review and assist in preparation of safety work plans SOPs site specific safety and health plans Operations and Safety Evaluation checklists
Develop air monitoring and exposure assessment programs
Approve new safety equipment inspection and testing programs
Prepare weekly and monthly reports as directed Other Duties as Assigned
Travel 50%75%.



Qualifications

Qualifications
Required: Bachelors Degree Industrial Hygiene/Safety/Related Health and Safety Management or a related field;
7 years of experience in consulting training and H&S program management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Required: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training
Prefer professional certification (e.g. CSP Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and elearning platforms.
Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions.
