Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfield to assist with the appointment of a Personal Advisor Leaving Care Service on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 18.95 23.39 per hour

Summary:

Enfield Council is seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to work with young adults aged 1824 who have previously been Looked After by the Local Authority. The successful candidate will support young people through the transition to independent living acting as a consistent point of contact and advocate. This includes holding a caseload of up to 25 young people providing officebased and community support and working closely with multiagency partners to help service users meet their personal educational health and housing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold a caseload of up to 25 young people leaving care.
  • Provide direct support in the community at home and at council offices.
  • Develop and implement individualised pathway plans to promote positive outcomes.
  • Coordinate and lead multiagency networks to ensure a holistic support approach.
  • Support transitions into education employment training and sustainable housing.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience working with vulnerable young people with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of legislation relating to Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in effective partnership working with housing health education and social care services.
  • Competent in managing budgets and making financial assessments.
  • Ability to keep accurate timely case records using electronic systems.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and empower young people.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
