Description

Chubb Tempest Re International is seeking a qualified Actuary to join our dynamic team. In this role you will play a crucial part in treaty reinsurance pricing reserving and capital modelling. You will collaborate closely with underwriting claims and various other stakeholders across Chubb. This fulltime position reports directly to the Chief Actuary of Chubb Tempest Re International and encompasses all aspects of the actuarial function within our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the underwriting team on treaty reinsurance pricing and effectively communicate results to management.
  • Conduct reserve reviews for one or more lines of business working closely with the claims team to analyse claims movements.
  • Contribute to the annual planning and strategic review process
  • Partner with the finance team on quarterly and yearend financial reporting.
  • Support various projects including Solvency II reporting capital modelling external reserve reviews and enhancing pricing models and benchmarks.
  • Present data methodologies and analytical results to stakeholders and management.
  • Drive process enhancements through automation and improved efficiencies.


Qualifications

Profile:

  • 8 years of experience in relevant actuarial roles.
  • Qualified Actuary (Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent).
  • Advanced proficiency in actuarial techniques applicable to general insurance.
  • Proven experience in communicating actuarial results to management effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; programming skills in SQL are a plus.
  • Strong analytical interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Capability to meet tight deadlines and flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
