General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer to join us in our San Jose CA location. This position provides an opportunity to further advance cuttingedge technologies that support some of our nations core defense/intelligence services and systems. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out highstakes national security missions.
The Electrical Engineer will be part of an innovative team that loves to evaluate RF systems such as RADARs jammers or communications systems including their software and signals for capabilities performance and vulnerabilities. This individual is expected to work effectively in multidisciplined engineering teams where communication and innovation are key.

Understanding of RF physical layer implementations
Advanced understanding of networking concepts
Experience with RF test equipment such as RF signal generators and spectrum analyzers
Proficiency in communication protocol implementation and analysis in one or more of C C Python LabVIEW MATLAB Wireshark
Experience with Digital Signal Processing
Ability to contribute to rapid prototyping of proofofconcept capabilities

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5 years of jobrelated experience or a Masters degree plus 3 years of jobrelated experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at the time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities U.S. citizenship is required.
