JOB SUMMARY:

This positionprovidestechnical operationssupport The Technical Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of technical services and show production in multiple venues. The Manager will serve as primary point of contact for an Artist or Bands Production Manager/Agent in designing building and operating a show. The position will lead the technical team of several lounge and showroom venues providing leadership direction and guidance. The Technical Manager will be a highprofile position within the Programming team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as the primary production and technical pointofcontact for several venues including ticketed shows and nonticketed events
  • Oversee any loadin / loadout schedules as well as any productionrelated needs.
  • Schedule and supervise all production crew required for the proper presentation of the show including all work calls
  • Be onsite and available for shows at venues supervising any/all productionrelated elements
  • Serve as key point of contact for all inquiries related to production / technical needs at the venue
  • Maintain venue technical manuals reviewing and updating as necessary
  • Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all venue technical equipment
  • Develop training plans and standardized venue SOPs
  • Ensure compliance with Venues union contract for collective bargaining
  • Continually seek improvements in operations and production management standards through learnings and where possible bestinclass industry practices and trends
  • Compile relevant expense and financial information for reporting on postshow settlement budgeting reimbursement and/or AP
  • Crossfunctional cooperation with other technical leaders on planning and other related issues
  • Other projects as assigned by the Entertainment Director and Technical Director
  • Lead organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws regulations and Company policies.
  • Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks
  • Champion within the organization a commitment to honesty integrity and responsible corporate behavior
  • Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct
  • Design standard operating procedures for communication and department organization

ADDITIONAL RESPONSBILITES:

  • The position will be expected to work a nontraditional schedule (evenings weekends holidays etc.) planning for and supporting performances in the Venue.
  • The position will operate in a dynamic fast paced and at times stressful environment and will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating appropriate judgement on prioritization of each.
  • Requires a highly energetic detailoriented selfstarter who can work as a member of a team to solve problems and create inperson experiences that make lasting impacts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in live entertainment either in venue operations and / or touring.
  • Management experience and supervisory skills are a plus
  • Expertise in managing operating systems including lifts rigging lighting and sound
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in Word Excel and Outlook
