This Licensed Practical Nurse 3 WAEposition is for a vacancy located in our residential facility in Mandeville Louisiana. Please see the Examples of Work below for additional information for this position.
This position will be filled as a Classified WAE (When Actually Employed or PRN)limited to 1245 hours in a 12 month period. We are seeking individuals that may be available for 12hour shifts on either days or nights.LPNs shall be compensated shift differential rates for actual hours worked. These rates have been established by the FPHSA policy and approved by the Civil Service Commission. Shift Differential Rates may range from $1.25/hour to $5.65/hour depending on both the shift and the day worked. Additional premium pay is also paid for hours worked which may be an additional $1.00/hour.
Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicants level of experience. Below is a list of the pay range(s) for the position(s):- Licensed Practical Nurse 3 (WAE):$22.00/hour minimum $29.13/hour maximum

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license a temporary permit or a multistate license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. Job Specification

To provide basic nursing care to assigned patients/clients in stable conditions and in predictable situations in accordance with the Professional Nurses Practice Act.

Advanced.
Supervision Received:
General from a Registered Nurse.
Supervision Exercised:
Functional over a group of Practical Nurses of lower levels and paraprofessionals.
Location of Work:
Statewidehealth care facilities; correctional facilities.

This LPN3 position provides direct nursing care to clients receiving substance use treatment in a 24hour residential facility. This facility is an ASAM Level III.5 Adult Clinically Managed High Intensity residential substanceusetreatment program. This positionprovides PRN coverage as needed andperforms standard nursing serviceson the unit which may includethe following: continuous observation of clients administeringprescribedmedications maintaining documentation in theelectronic health record (EHR) administering screenings tests and other required labs conducting assessmentsand screens fornewly admitted clients.
Driving and alternating shift work may be requiredandthe chosen applicantwill be required to possess (or obtain) a Chauffeurs/Class D driverslicense if hired.
