Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The Maintenance Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility to ensure machinery is optimal and play a major role in operating a safe environment and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude electrical aptitude (desired) and manufacturing processes and equipment repair.
- Good communication with other coworkers on every shift.
- Maintain a safetyfirst mindset; wear proper PPE and possess knowledge of safety equipment and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet production goals.
YOUR ROLE:
- Communicating and working with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner.
- Perform the required routine maintenance and tasks to keep equipment safe functional and efficient by executing preventive predictive and corrective maintenance actions.
- Learn and demonstrate competency in maintaining and troubleshooting processes and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns and equipment to progress through training programs.
- Demonstrates proper use of equipment observing all safety procedures and policies. This includes but is not limited to: All designated PPE lockout/tagout and other requirements of working on equipment.
- Participate in all onsite training per the direction of management.
- Assists in the basic testing/troubleshooting of facility systems including but not limited to fire alarms exit door alarms and emergency and exit lighting.
- Ground maintenance is occasionally required.
- Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- The ability to lift (from floor to waist level) push and pull 50 pounds.
- The ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping bending or sitting.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- 3rd shift Monday through Friday following production hours.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
COMPENSATION:
- Commensurate with experience and knowledge.
