Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our flooring trims manufacturing operations. This role is crucial to minimizing downtime and ensuring all production equipment including high speed wrapping lines molding forming lines cutting machines shrink wrapping equipment and material handling systems run safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery used in the manufacturing of flooring trims.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoot issues with mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machines and upgrades.
  • Maintain all work order records and preventative maintenance schedules within CMMS.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify recurring equipment issues and implement longterm solutions.
  • Support compliance with safety regulations and internal policies including
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) PPE usage and equipment guarding.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify and report equipment wear potential failures or unsafe conditions.
  • Help ensure the plant meets manufacturing KPIs and other performance metrics.
  • Execution of 5S within plant maintenance and other work areas.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (experience in flooring trims or similar industry would be a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems electrical and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient using tools diagnostic devices and CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems).
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including overtime and weekends if necessary.
  • Technical diploma or associate degree in industrial maintenance mechatronics or a related field preferred.
