Job Description
- Stay current with FMCSA FAA and FRA regulations; communicate changes and develop procedures and training content accordingly.
- Develop and implement policies procedures and training programs to enhance safety and compliance.
- Manage all fuel tax filings and secure necessary outofstate permits; coordinate data collection with internal teams.
- Maintain CDL driver drug testing pool; ensure enrollment screening and followup per DOT requirements.
- Keep detailed compliant records (electronic and paper) for logs incidents and training aligned with regulatory retention timelines.
- Conduct annual compliance reviews of CDL holders and oversee clearinghouse submissions for eligibility checks.
- Lead investigations into vehiclerelated incidents identify root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Train drivers on Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and maintain accurate logs for DOT compliance.
- Guide team members through the CDL licensing process and schedule test appointments in line with FMCSA guidelines.
- Track expiration dates and proactively notify drivers; manage requirements to maintain legal driving status.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5 years of experience in safety or transportation compliance.
- Indepth knowledge of DOT FAA FRA and FMCSA regulations.
- Bachelors degree in safety legal public health business or a related field preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
