PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for the general and preventive maintenance of the equipment building furniture fixtures and grounds of the facility to include monitoring work performed by outside vendors or contractors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the activities involved in the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Responsible for building operations including structural maintenance.
- Responsible for regulatory and building code compliance.
- Direct supervise and evaluate work activities of department staff.
- Provide staff management to including hiring development training performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
- Ensure safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Serve as project manager for small scale short duration projects.
- Develop and manage budget and inventory systems.
- Manage the activities involved in the design and renovation projects for a facility.
- Analyze metrics and make recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified.
- Initiate and authorize repairs or replacements and prepare related cost estimates.
- Be oncall for building emergencies.
- Responsible for facility operational effectiveness and safety.

- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in facilities management or operations required.
- Five or more years experience in similar position required.
- One or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid state drivers license.
- CPR and deescalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by the facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
- Valid Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
