Job Description
- Build new and used pallets
- Repair and dismantle pallets
- Cut wood and stack properly according to pallet facility guidelines
- Sort and stack according to guidelines and work instructions
- Organize pallets and recognize reparable and nonrepairable pallets
- Operate all shop tools and equipment such as Pallet Dismantler Table Saw Chop Saw Pneumatic Nail Gun Pallet Jack Hand Tools (wrenches screw driver etc.)
- Log all work done completed to turn into supervisor
- Knowledge of hard wood and soft wood a plus but not required
- Ability to work with a variety of people such as customers and other departments/staff within the company
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Experience in proper loading unloading and strapping techniques.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Be able to understand and follow all the safety requirements of OSHA
