Supervises children in the child care area of the Wellness Center.
Job Responsibilities
Ensures children are accounted for and supervised at all times.
Initiates and leads ageappropriate educational or recreational activities.
Ensures the environment is in a safe organized and clean condition. Reports deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
Cleans or disinfects toys equipment storage areas and play surfaces as scheduled and needed.
Follows policies and protocols when accepting children into and releasing children from the child care area.
Interacts with children and parents appropriately.
Follows the organizations policies and protocols when caring for communicating with disciplining or rendering first aid to children.
Ensures accurate record keeping of utilization reservations and tickets.
Qualifications
High school diploma General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred
No experience required. Must be at least 18 years of age
BLS Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position OR
Heartsaver CPR AED required within 90 days of employment in this position AND
FA First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment in this position

Works under minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
