Laundry Attendant
General Responsibilities:
- Consistently demonstrate S.E.E. (Smile Eye Contact and Engage) and offer professional friendly and excellent customer service.
- Assist with taking cardboard to recycling center daily.
- Check machines are working properly lint traps drains door closures.
- Sort all line by category and place in red bins
- Load machines with like items and proper setting for machines.
- Ensure that linen room is properly stocked for the days needs. Prioritize needs.
- Fold linen according to training procedures.
- Stock clean linen in proper locations.
- Report any machine malfunctions to supervisor immediately. Do not use machine if not working properly.
- Maintain good response time to internal customers.
- Represent the hotel in a positive professional and friendly manner at all times.
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Maintain safety awareness throughout the housekeeping department. Wear protective eye wear and gloves as needed.
- Report all potential safety hazards to a manager immediately.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Housekeeping/laundry and customer service experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license to drive to buildings on property and must be insurable on the company insurance policy preferred.
- Knowledge of chemicals.
- Ability to:
- Work any day of the week and any hours as business dictates.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Work as part of a team.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally in English.
- Must be able to read a numerical scale.
- Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Work well under pressure.
- Work in hot environment.
