Job Description

Overview

The Operational Support Services Coordinator II carries out the program to purchase supplies and equipment at the most favorable prices consistent with quality quantity and efficiency. The incumbent will also assist with management of equipment purchases and vendor selection maintain documents and records for transactions as needed and support inventory management at all International Center for Spinal Cord Injury (ICSCI) locations.

Responsibilities

  1. Reviews purchase requisitions and decides method of purchase for all departmental therapy supplies and equipment. Ensure requisition is within authorized allowance and meets all criteria as established by funding agencies as well as departmental policies and procedures.
  2. Selects manufacturers or commodity suppliers and requests quotations from possible sources prior to placing orders.
  3. Reviews and completes purchase orders. Checks form to ensure it contains the proper and complete ordering information to make certain that the department is ordering exactly what is needed and to eliminate any misunderstanding between the vendor and the department.
  4. Continually evaluates performance of suppliers. Maintains contacts with vendors to keep informed of price trends availability of supplies new items and reliability.
  5. Investigates all longterm contracts on market trends in coordination with Manager Operational Support Services.
  6. Establishes and ensures maintenance of proper records ensuring there is a record of all transactions for compilation of statistics and to supply the accounting office with necessary information.
  7. Receives and distributes orders to requisite locations as needed. Works with onsite Clinical Services Coordinators to ensure timely receipt of items in workspace.
  8. Assists Clinical Services Coordinators with inventory management at all International Center for Spinal Cord Injury (ICSCI) locations as needed.
  9. Works with Manager Operational Support Services to evaluate potential equipment purchases and vendor selection.

None.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree or higher in business finance or healthcare related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum four years of progressive experience in the purchasing function required.

USD $45176.00/Yr.
