Wage range: $23.00/hr DOE
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
What you will do
Join a dedicated culinary team at your local community hospital where your passion for cooking directly supports the health comfort and wellbeing of patients staff and guests every day. As a Sous Chef youll bring creativity compassion and leadership to the kitchenhelping deliver highquality meals that nourish comfort and inspire. The Sous Chef is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen. They provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel and ensure that all recipes food preparations and presentations meet specifications and commitment to quality.
You will...
Monitor production schedules to ensure timely meal delivery for patients staff and visitors.
Maintain a clean safe and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety standards (e.g. HACCP ServSafe).
Support menu planning and execution including special diets and texture modifications.
Oversee inventory control assist with ordering and manage food cost and waste.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and clinical dietitians to ensure therapeutic diets are followed.
Participate in quality assurance safety audits and food servicerelated initiatives.
What you will bring
High School Diploma or GED required; culinary certification or degree preferred.
Minimum of 23 years of culinary experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead cook role.
