Job Description
This position is responsible for coordinating planning and designing employee work areas for capital or O&M projects. Supports the Corporate Space Planner in managing workspace requests and identifying other potential opportunities through strategic planning. Assists in preparing recurring communication of this information to provide accurate and timely updates to the Facilities team for enterprisewide strategic planning of the overall space allocation. Creates space plans and furniture design layouts for both large and small workspaces in coordination with the Corporate Space Planner. Administers and ensures compliance with interior and architectural programmatic requirements and standards with various company departments. Develops schedules and priorities for common work with other involved departments. Monitors furnitureconstruction progress ensuring that timing cost and contract requirements are met. Reviews design changes furniture and finish specifications and substitution requests. Participates in the implementation of ergonomic and HR approved accommodations requests for employees. With consideration for organizational culture and business needs and resources this employee will foster excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders to formulate a variety of solutions from conception to completion of the project.

Requirements
  • Associates degree or Certificate in interior architecture interior design or related field OR 2 years of design experience related to space planning.
  • Skilled in effective and adaptable communication collaboration and teamwork and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of design principles space planning and ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD computerbased drawing and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to provide ahigh level of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to be selfdirected and selfmotivated in daily activities with minimal supervision.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
