SALARY: $106928 to $168816

ORGANIZATION: Magnet designated hospital providing a full range of specialty health care services.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Positions available are fulltime and will work 12hour day shift.
- Supervises and coordinates daily operations of the Cardiology Department in conjunction with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services/Nurse Manager in order to ensure efficient operations and competent skill levels.
- Responsible for QI program development implementation and followup.
- Responsible for recruitment and orientation of new employees as well as maintaining employee files work schedules annual reviews and competency testing.
- Act as a source of technical expertise in equipment needs.
- Responsible for all duties of a registered Echocardiographer as outlined in the Echocardiographer job description.
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training Completion of an AMA accredited Echocardiogram program (minimum of one year in length)
- Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or
- Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
- Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS American Heart Association
- 2 years Recent fulltime experience in Echocardiography.
- 1 year Experience in acute care hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a related health care field Or Credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- Upon hire: Membership in a professional organization such as the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers the Society of Vascular Technologists or the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine or the American Society of Echocardiography
- Recent supervisor or management experience
