During the 10week summer internship program you will have the opportunity to work side by side with our experienced Store Sales Reps. You will spend your time with your Mentor learning the ropes and uncovering what it takes to be a successful Sales professional for SherwinWilliams Consumer Brands Group.

SherwinWilliams Consumer Brands Group is offering a PAID internship for college students that offers handson experience in a wellknown Home Center that carries SherwinWilliams Retail North America Divisionsproducts Valspar HGTV by SherwinWilliams Cabot Minwax Purdy Thompsons Water Seal and more. This opportunity could also lead to fulltime career opportunities upon graduation!

Your summer will start off with a virtual Opening Kickoff event where you will learn all about the SherwinWilliams Consumer Brands Group and be introduced to all of the exciting items your summer internship will entail.

While working side by side with your Mentor and other SherwinWilliams Store Sales Reps you will be introduced and begin to develop aspects in sales analytics marketing activations training Key Decision Making (KDM) exposure business acumen and business communication. Interns will also be exposed to SherwinWilliams professionals ina variety of functional areas.

After participating in all of these learning experiences you may have the opportunity to visit our main office in Davidson North Carolina where you can Create Your Possible and conduct a presentation on the exciting and new experiences that you learned throughout the summer.

We hope that by having you join our team for 10weeks you get to learn experience new things and potentially be offered a full time Sales Trainee or Store Sales Rep position upon your graduation.



Responsibilities

The training location for the internship will be in the Nashville area and interns must be located here for the duration of the 10week program. A valid drivers license is also required due to the expectation that our interns will be traveling to multiple stores in the assigned area to get the true experience of a rep within our company.

Job duties involve contact with customers which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods electronic equipment personal information store merchandise and other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Companys customers staff employees vendors contractors and the general public.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be enrolled in a college or university during the internship
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without now or in the future requiring sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Must be able to work all scheduled hours which may include weekends.
  • Must be able with or without reasonable accommodation to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs.
  • Must have a valid unrestricted drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have at least one (1) year experience in Customer Services Sales Marketing or other Business related field.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Must have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word Excel Power Point Teams and/or Outlook)
  • Previous experience working in a teamoriented setting including work experience extracurricular activities military service etc.
  • Ability to read write comprehend and communicate in Spanish
  • Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program
  • Previous relevant internships or coop experience.
