Salary: $29.989 $34.310/hr
*These hours are dependent on the operational requirements of the organization

Position Summary
The Dental Assistant is responsible for the following scope of practice under the supervision of the Dentist; impressions sealants prophylaxis (polishing) scaling (if certified) xrays fluoride varnish placing topical anesthetic placing liners and oral health promotion for all clients.
Qualifications
Education
- National Dental Assisting Examining Board Certificate Required Manitoba Dental Association Registration Required Member in good standing of Manitoba Dental Assistant Association
Skills Expertise and Experience
- Minimum two years experience as a Dental Assistant

Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking decisionmaking problemsolving and conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus workrelated activities to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and produce expected results/outcomes

Communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in the use of computers (email etc.)
Assets
- Multiple Languages
- Experience in an inner city community setting
- Experience working with service specific programs such as; ClearDent eChart and Accuro
- Current CPR Certification
