SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading coordinating promoting and championing all development and advancement efforts for First Naples Church and First Baptist Academy including: generosity capital campaigns stewardship initiatives estate planning financial education and academy fundraising.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Naples.
  • Assists the Executive Pastor to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
  • Basic personal responsibilities:
  • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study prayer and meditation.
  • Lead yourself and your home towards Honesty Honor Humility Hunger the Holy Spirit and Health (Emotional Spiritual Financially and Physically).
  • Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
  • Faithfully support the ministries of First Naples by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
  • Maintain active participation in an adultgroup.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of First Naples (Colossians 3:2324).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet church and academy development objectives. All strategies & projects must receive approval by the senior leadership team.
  • Oversee all fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Identify and manage relationships with prospective and existing members/donors in all aspects of the gift cycle including identifying and initiating contact with potential members/donors and maintaining contact with members/donors.
  • Oversee financial stewardship giving and estate planning in the church.
  • Collaborate with the communications department in the creative aspects of fundraising and stewardship materials videos and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with FBA staff for grant proposals and submission processes.
  • Regularly send gratitude to new and current donors.
  • Assist the Senior Leadership Team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and be a member of the First Naples Church.
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong writing and copy skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Solid understanding of technology integration and the ability to perform multiple technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
  • Specific skillbased competencies to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:
  • Operating standard office equipment.
  • Planning and managing projects.
  • Fully proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Developing effective working relationships.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A bachelors degree is preferably in a related field such as business communications nonprofit management or marketing. A minimum of 2 years of related experience within this specialized field is . Experience in a faithbased or educational environment is strongly preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The individual must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and cultivate relationships with a diverse range of individuals including donors church members school families senior leadership and volunteers. Clear concise and professional communication is across various platforms including inperson phone email and written materials. The individual must demonstrate high emotional intelligence discretion and diplomacy in all interactions. Strong written communication skills are essential for crafting compelling donor correspondence stewardship materials and strategic proposals. The ability to interpret and communicate complex informationsuch as fundraising metrics donor data and policieswith clarity and purpose is critical.

COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The individual must be proficient in the use of modern office technologies including word processing spreadsheets presentation tools and email platforms. Experience with donor management systems (e.g. CRM software) fundraising platforms and financial reporting tools is preferred. Strong analytical skills are to interpret donor trends track campaign results and develop datadriven strategies. A working knowledge of budgeting expense tracking and basic accounting principles is necessary to support fundraising initiatives and monitor financial outcomes. The ability to develop read and present financial reports dashboards and campaign summaries is essential.

REASONING ABILITY

The individual must demonstrate strong strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities with a capacity to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously. The ability to develop longterm fundraising strategies assess potential outcomes and adapt to changing circumstances is key to success in this role. Creative thinking and innovation are highly valued in developing stewardship initiatives and donor engagement plans. The individual must thrive in a dynamic environment and remain focused and productive under pressure consistently meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
