Process Development Associate Scientist

Amgens Commercial Attribute Sciences group within Process Development is seeking an Associate Scientist based at our Thousand Oaks California site. The Associate Scientist will serve as an analytical subject matter expert supporting life cycle management activities for commercial portfolio. This individual will be a part of an agile team that interfaces with crossfunctional business partners including Drug Substance Process Development Drug Product Process Development Quality Control Manufacturing Product Quality and other key functions within Amgen Operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
Interact and collaborate with other functional areas in a matrix environment as an analytical subject matter expert
Support analytical method lifecycle management including testing to support method development method remediation method qualification and method implementation in new testing sites
Generate and critically evaluate analytical data in support of investigations and regulatory submissions
Keep current in the analytical development field and support the evaluation and implementation of new testing technologies
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 3 years of Scientific experience OR
Masters degree and 1 year of Scientific experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Handson experience in various analytical technologies including CEX SEC Reverse Phase Chromatography HILIC CE and Compendial methods (e.g. Protein Concentration pH Osmolality etc.)
Experience in troubleshooting and investigation methodologies for problem solving
Detailoriented approach with excellent written and oral communication for the timely documentation presentation and discussion of results in a fastpaced multidisciplinary teambased environment
Ability to establish effective and respectful relationships with crossfunctional business partners
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently to meet deliverables
Actionoriented eager to learn and supports new ideas and initiatives

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
