Job Description
We are currently looking for a Software Testing Specialist to join a longterm project within a European institution. This role is focused on the preparation and execution of testing activities ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications in a complex IT environment.
Tasks
- Prepare and execute application testing activities under the supervision of a Team Leader.
- Collaborate with application/project teams during the preparation and execution of testing campaigns.
- Report testing results to project stakeholders using standard documentation formats.
- Define and implement test techniques and create automated test suites when feasible.
- Propose improvements to testing methodologies tools and processes.
- Lead and coordinate testing activities for deliverables from other teams.
- Monitor quality plans and provide accurate and regular updates and reports.
- Detect deviations proactively identify risks and escalate when necessary.
Requirements
Key Requirements (musthave):
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software testing.
- Strong technical knowledge in software testing test design techniques and testing tools.
- ISTQB certification (or equivalent experience/certification) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with at least one testing methodology.
- Knowledge of best practices in IT service and project management (e.g. Agile DevSecOps PRINCE2 PMI PM RUP PMM4EP ENGAGE ITIL etc.).
- High level of English and French: one language at C1 level the other at least B2.
Additional Assets (nicetohave):
- Experience in mobile device testing and OS compatibility testing.
- Familiarity with test change control procedures including test case review.
- Handson experience with testing tools such as OpenText ALM Octane Jira/ServiceNow SoaPUI Jenkins Selenium Confluence xWiki.
- Programming/scripting experience with VBScript XML Python Java REST APIs.
