Job Description
This is a remote position.
Position Title: Senior AccountantWork Setup: Work from Home
Salary: Php 60000.00 Php 80000.00
Schedule: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM PHT
You will bring expertise in Australian bookkeeping accounting and tax compliance with a deep understanding of the unique requirements for Australian businesses. This role is predominately a bookkeeping role but goes beyond basic bookkeeping; we are seeking someone who can provide insightful analysis ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support our technological transformation by helping to identify processes ripe for automation.
JOB DESCRIPTION FOR AN SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities as Senior Accountant:
FullCycle Bookkeeping: Manage all daytoday bookkeeping activities for Australian clients including general ledger maintenance account reconciliation accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliation
Financial Statement Preparation: Generate accurate financial statements and reports on a monthly quarterly and annual basis including P&L statements balance sheets and cash flow reports. Work closely with clients to review and interpret these financials
BAS and GST Submissions: Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations
Payroll Processing: Handle payrollrelated tasks ensuring compliance with Australian payroll standards calculating superannuation PAYG withholding and other payroll liabilities
Tax Support: Collaborate on tax preparation and filing maintaining meticulous records to support tax audits reviews and client inquiries
Automation and AI Integration: Work closely with management to identify repetitive tasks that could benefit from automation or AI solutions. Participate in implementing and optimizing new tech tools to improve productivity and reduce manual workloads
Client Communication and Support: Serve as point of contact for client inquiries and needs providing responsive clear and proactive communication to build lasting client relationships and ensure satisfaction
Qualifications as a Senior Accountant:
Degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Business Administration or any related field
Minimum of 36 years in Australian bookkeeping accounting and tax preparation.
Skilled in popular Australian accounting software such as Xero MYOB Dext Hubdoc xbert Ignition
Professional command in the English language both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse financial data
Demonstrated experience with Australian GST BAS lodgments and other regulatory requirements for Australian businesses
Familiarity or interest in automation AI and technologydriven accounting practices
