Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre is seeking LOCUM generalist obstetrician/gynecologist to support their team. The threeperson group provides full spectrum OB/GYN practice including routine and high risk prenatal and intrapartum care office and perioperative gynecology including open and minimally invasive surgery and colposcopy.
The obstetric service delivers approximately 200 babies per year. Oncall is 1:3. The group works collegially with Primary Care/Obs physicians who support the service. MaternalFetal Medicine and NICU services are available at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax.
Locum physicians provide coverage for specialists. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1600 for specialists ($800 for halfday) with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount.
Travel expenses including kilometrage per diems accommodations (up to $300 per night) and airfare (up to $1500) are reimbursed along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
