Job Description

  • This assignment provides a diverse experience in the functions and needs of a rubber manufacturing group. The selected individual will be involved in the support of the Rubber Mixing operation from an Engineering perspective.
  • The student can expect to be exposed to the following
    • Measurement equipment and calibration of measurement equipment
    • Projects related to the Rubber Mixing Operation (Examples; safety improvements production efficiency measures improving rubber processing Lean Manufacturing and equipment modifications)
    • Manufacturing processes
    • Quality Systems (ISO9000)
    • Lean Manufacturing Principles
    • Systematic Problemsolving tools
    • Selecting and ordering of production support supplies
    • Machine Learning and Big Data project support

Qualifications :

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
Minimum GPA 3.0; 15 credit hours completed
Minimum 1.5 years of remaining undergraduate studies

DESIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
2 years remaining till completion of a Bachelors degree.
Engineering major is preferred.


Additional Information :

  • Flexible work schedule to work around school schedule
  • Ability to flex up to 40 hours per week when school is not in session.
